Dun Flodigarry is an independent family run hostel which has been welcoming visitors from all over the world for more than thirty years. It is in Flodigarry township, one of the last remaining Gaelic speaking crofting areas on Skye.
The area is famous for the distinctive cliffs of Kilt Rock, the rock formations of the Quiraing which towers above the hostel and Rubha Hunish with its Instagram famous coastguard bothy.
The hostel is well located to visit the many dinosaur footprints and fossils nearby. The Staffin Dinosaur Museum next to Kilt Rock has fascinating exhibits.
When you are out and about you may see seals, otters, basking sharks, whales,
sea eagles and other birds of prey. There are also many orchids and other rare flora in the area.
